Deck Strengths

This deck runs 5 cards to wipe Keith's field in Acid Rain and Magnetic Mosquito give you a lot of breathing room. Once Angel O7 is on the field the farm simplifies to just clearing his side of the field until the last turn while working on getting a second Angel O7 out.

Deck Weaknesses

Due to the necessity of having to run so much support for Angel O7 as well as monster clearing cards, the consistency of the deck is not perfect. Do not expect to successfully complete every farm like you would against duelists like Tea and Weevil. If Barrel Dragon hits the field, the only consistent way this deck can clear it is Acid Rain, and as such the appearance of Barrel Dragon is usually an automatic loss.

Deck Summary

The biggest threat when facing Bandit Keith is the effects of Twin-Barrel Dragon, Blowback Dragon, and Barrel Dragon. Outside of these effects, his deck has very few threats, so our highest priority is negating these monster effects, which can be done by Angel O7's effect.

This deck revolves around quickly and easily getting Angel O7, a two tribute monster, on the field while simultaneously keeping his field clear of potential tribute fodder for Barrel Dragon, which Angel O7 cannot get over. We will accomplish this by running cards that can single Tribute Angel O7, such as Kaiser Sea Horse, and cards that we can Special Summon easily against Bandit Keith, such as Embodiment of Apophis and Escher the Frost Vassal, alongside cards that wipe his field such as Magnetic Mosquito and Acid Rain. The  Hunter With 7 Weapons has been added here but can and should be replaced by additional copies of Kaiser Sea Horse if you have them. Mystic Depths does not play a significant role in boosting the deck, but provides important target fodder for his monsters’ effects.

The last turn combo consists of 2 Union Attack + 2 Angel O7 combined with Gravekeeper's Vassal, although you can also substitute 2 Gift of the Martyr for Union Attack and Piranha Army for Vassal.

Try to keep his field clear even if it means dealing battle damage, unless you have an Acid Rain in hand and additional monsters you can summon.

Depending on the number of monsters cleared, if you deal no battle damage you can expect a score of 7600-7900 with 0 glossy cards, meaning you only need 4 glossy cards to guarantee hitting 8k assessment score (your first Embodiment of Apophis is automatically glossy, so you only need 3 more).

You should expect a win rate between 85-90% varying on your deck composition and luck.

Angel O7

Angel O7's effect negates all monster effect activations on the field. Summoning Angel O7 is the main goal of this deck since it negates the effects of Twin-Barrel Dragon, Blowback Dragon, and Barrel Dragon, the main threats in Bandit Keith's Deck. Requiring 2 Tributes, Angel O7 can get over all of Keith's monsters besides Barrel Dragon assuming no equip spells.

Kaiser Sea Horse's effect allows the summon of a 2 Tribute monster using only Kaiser Sea Horse as the sole tribute. At 1700 ATK, none of Keith's monsters can get over it without an equip spell, and if Umi is still on the field, a single equip will not be enough, although Rare Metalmorph will allow his Twin-Barrel Dragons to get over your Kaiser Sea Horse with or without Umi. You can Tribute summon Angel O7 using only Kaiser Sea Horse.

Magnetic Mosquito's effect destroys all Machine-type monsters when it is flipped, allowing us to clear Bandit Keith's side of the field since he only runs Machines. While Magnetic Mosquito can be destroyed by monster effects, it also prevents us from being attacked directly, unlike Acid Rain. Note that its effect is negated when Angel O7 is on the field.

Acid Rain

Acid Rain's effect destroys all face-up Machine-type monsters on the field. However, it can only be played during our turn, opening the risk of dying to battle damage if you don't have monsters on the field.

Try to run 2 copies, or 3 if you're missing 3 copies of Magnetic Mosquito.

At 1800 DEF, none of Keith's monsters can get over Embodiment of Apophis without Rare Metalmorph or an Equip Spell. Embodiment of Apophis has multiple uses in this deck; if you have a monster that gets cleared by effect, Embodiment can still be Special Summoned before the Battle Phase to prevent taking damage. It also allows you to get an extra summon in to assist in summoning Angel O7 one turn earlier than normal.

Escher the Frost Vassal's effect allows it to be Special Summoned from your hand if your opponent has 2 or more cards in their Spell/Trap zone. Due to the backrow heavy nature of Keith's deck, running 3 Equip Spells, 3 Trap cards, and 2 Second Coin Toss, this summoning condition is met very frequently, allowing Escher to be Special Summoned to assist in summoning Angel O7.

Gravekeeper's Vassal's effect converts all Battle Damage to Effect Damage, which combos well with Union Attack. In your final turn before you deck out, assuming you have 2 Angel O7 on the field, Normal Summon Gravekeeper's Vassal and activate Secret Pass to the Treasures and 2 Union Attack to deal 10k Effect Damage directly.

Secret Pass to the Treasures allows 1 monster with 1000 ATK or less to attack your opponent directly. This will be used on Gravekeeper's Vassal on your final turn.

Union Attack

Union Attack increases 1 monsters ATK during the Battle Phase by the combined ATK of your other monsters at the cost of the other monsters not being able to attack and the negation of battle damage. This condition can be ignored due to Gravekeeper's Vassal's effect.

2 copies is required to reach 10k damage; you can also run 1 copy with Spell Reclamation.

The Hunter with 7 Weapons allows you to declare 1 monster type and gain an additional 1000 ATK when battling with that monster type. Since all of Keith's monsters are Machines, declaring Machine allows Hunter to effectively be at 2000 ATK. Use this to replace missing copies of Kaiser Sea Horse. Note that its effect is negated when Angel O7 is on the field.

For each missing copy of Kaiser Sea Horse, run 1 copy of The Hunter with 7 Weapons.

Card Explanation

Piranha Army's effect doubles any Battle Damage dealt when attacking directly. If you don't own Union Attack, run this instead of Gravekeeper's Vassal.

Gift of the Martyr

Gift of the Martyr sends one monster you own to the Graveyard to add its original ATK to another monster. If you don't own Union Attack, run this instead of Union Attack. Activate it by sending Angel O7 to the Graveyard and adding its ATK to Piranha Army.

Shooting Star Bow - Ceal allows the equipped monster to attack your opponent directly at the cost of lowing 1000 ATK. If you don't own Secret Pass to the Treasures, you can run this Equip Spell instead. Note that you'll have to run 1 additional Equip Card such as Black Pendant to overcome the attack drop.

Mogmole's effect allows it to be Special Summoned in Defense Position after being destroyed. You can replace one or both copies of Escher the Frost Vassal with copies of Mogmole as Angel O7 Tribute fodder. Note that you can only use this effect once per duel.

Twin-Headed Behemoth's effect allows it to be Special Summoned after being destroyed. You can replace one or both copies of Escher the Frost Vassal with copies of Twin-Headed Behemoth as Angel O7 Tribute fodder. Note that you can only use this effect once per duel.

Amarylease's effect allows it to be Banished from the Graveyard to enable a Tribute monster to be summoned with 1 fewer Tribute, effectively making Angel O7 a 1 Tribute summon. You can replace one or both copies of Escher the Frost Vassal with copies of Amarylease. Note that you can only use this effect once per turn.
